LI Lifeng received his PhD from Nanjing University in 1999 and is now a Professor of Political Science there too He was the Harvard-Yenching Visiting Scholar in 2012-13. His research interests include Chinese revolution and politics in the twentieth century, political theory, and conceptual history. He is the author of The Historical Dimension of Chinese Politics (2018), The Land Reform Movement and Transformation of Rural Power in Northern China (2018), and Revolutionary Party and Rural Society: A Study on the Organization of the Chinese Communist Party, 1937-1945 (2011).
