Wang Tao received his PhD from Peking University in 2008 and is Professor of History at Nanjing University. . From 2015 to 2016 he was a visiting scholar at Harvard University. Wang’s work over the past five years has mainly focused on German history and digital history. He is currently the director of the Digital History Research Center at Nanjing University. He also teaches courses on digital history as part of the pioneering efforts to promote a Digital Humanities way of thinking among Chinese undergraduates.
