Event: Fudan University’s School of Philosophy is one of the earliest in the nation to be established after China was founded, started more than 60 years ago. Every year, the School holds more than 60 lectures, providing students with rich resources and platforms to develop international perspectives.

Speaker: Prof Luca Maria Scarantino was elected as President of Fisp at the 24th World Congress of Philosophy, held in 2018 in Beijing, PR China. He has extensively published on contemporary Italian philosophy. His current research interests include the definition of cross-cultural moral patterns, focusing on basic interpersonal features, such as persuasion, violence, trust, resentment, generosity, and love. He is the general Editor of the international journal Diogenes. He was Secretary General of FISP from 2008 to 2018, and is currently FISP’s President.

Contents: The speaker analysed the latest development of global philosophical research, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Italy, South America, Africa and other countries and regions.
