“The Global Humanities Initiative will provide fresh and profound insight into big-picture questions – the future of the human world and the human spirit – by drawing together diverse perspectives. Together, we will examine history, culture and the arts through multiple lenses, in order that we may better understand ourselves, our past and present, and re-imagine our collective future.” – Stephen J. Toope, Vice-Chancellor, University of Cambridge at the launch of the Global Humanities Initiative.
The Global Humanities Initiative has one simple but ambitious aim: to permanently transform the way we teach, research and think about the Humanities by bringing different cultures and perspectives into dialogue with each other to create a more diverse and globally aware research agenda and curriculum.
And, we need your help. If you are interested in learning more about or supporting our work, please get in touch!
